HAVING FUN

To a certain extent, the complete topic under discussion here can be classed as ‘having fun’.

All sports whilst being competitive are at the same time meant to be fun. That said, playing a game of soccer is fun for a family on holiday, but far from fun for the professional footballer whose career will almost certainly depend on it. Though if he scores the winning the goal in a crucial match he may admit to having fun!!

Some people find sport a complete turn-off for one reason or another. For them taking the family dog for a walk in the park is their idea of recreation or going for a drive in the country.

But by far the best way to relax and have fun; and is top of everyone’s list, is the yearly tradition of going away on holiday. Naturally this should be fun otherwise you’d be better off staying at home!! - but it is not always the case. Once at you destination you can relax, unwind and enjoy yourself. However getting there may have been the most stressful thing you’ve had to endure for the past twelve months, especially if it took you 8 hours to get from A to B due to road-works and traffic accidents!!

Once on holiday you will have many facilities at you disposal. There is the traditional pastime of swimming, which as well as being a competitive sport is a great way to gently exercise the muscles whilst at the same time cooling the over-heated body - especially if you are holidaying in a hot climate.
